About Wood Wicks: These wicks crackle as they burn; resembling the sound of an open fire. Wood wicks do require a bit more care than cotton wicks, but not to worry, we offer some tips and tricks on how to care for them! Make sure to trim your wood wicks to 1/8 " from the wax before burning and allow for a full melted top before extinguishing the candle. If the wood wick is too close and too short for the level of wax, simply let the candle melt into a small pool, blow the fire out, then let a cotton ball absorb the melted wax. Make sure to remove the cotton ball before lighting the candle.

Wood wicks may discolor the wax into a pale yellow color from the natural wood and leave around 0.5" of wax at the bottom of the jar as they are clipped in place by metal clips that are 0.5" tall. Please go to our guide candle guide to read more.
